a delayed post

i had no time to blog for the past few days, and as friday comes to an end, i finally found the time. actually, it just wasn't about blogging, i even had no time to talk to julette and kaye, and that is unusual especially here in the office. so here are some of our adventures together, and a surprise below!

brazil brazil .. finally.

i remember that i was sick that day, but the thought of being dissapointed over my much anticipated dinner would be too depressing. so i went, and actually i was not too feverish by dinner time.. this is what i can promise, if you love meat, and your body can actually eat a lot of it, then go there. your P545 would be "sulit" as what they say in "eat all you can" fashion. haha! and it was sulit for me, julette and kaye.. although si ryan parang mahina siya kumain that time. i also love their paella and pasta with meatballs. the fish was good too, but the pork loins and sausages were still the best!

heaven and eggs

if you love breakfast especially the american type... go to heaven and eggs. i've been hearing that place for a couple of months now from my friends in abs and gma, and that made me curious.. thus i wanna try. so who else will accompany me on my food trips - yes. you've guessed it right! julette and kaye! hahaha! shempre si ryan din pala. if you go and eat there, for sure busog ka.. the pancakes will make you crazy, ang laki, and i recommend you guys to share. the potato wedges are masarap.
a warning, i know there is no harm in trying, but the maple syrup is the only one that can go with the pancakes, yung iba i tried, muntik ko ng isuka. the yellow one is pineapple, the see through is buko, and the orange one is peach. they all taste like plastic. hindi bagay!

models

so i end the week with this post... julette, kaye.. san na ang next target natin?! see ya soon.

attempt number one

my saturday was one of the most boring. i really planned on doing nothing becuase i know that it'll be busy with work.. the end result - ive accomplished nothing, actually i did accomplish something but it just wasnt enough yet. the weather really made me want to sleep just the whole day. it was calm, quiet, peaceful, and cold! thank god.. ive been wishing that there would be a weather where it would be cold -- walang ulan ah.. cold lang.

so without anything to do, i just did mirienda for me and my cousins... *tadaaah* french toast but we have no mapple syrup so instead i thought why not ice cream (magnolia's double dutch) - it will be much better!
hot toast plus the ice cream would be a perfect combination for such a gloomy weather.

what made it more fun that there was everyone.. in just 45 secs, the plate was clean.

(L to R: chicho, jaja, kyky, tristel, keken, ags, kev)

i had fun maknig this dish for them, they all enjoyed it anyway.. :)

drained. what weekend?!?!

im tired, so so so tired.. yesterday was too draining for me.
i found myself na "nakasalampak" sa floor when i arrived home yesterday ng mga 930pm.

thurs morning, i did all my desk work, i did some powerpoints for next week, i emailed client for feedback, talked to them... and all that stuff. for lunch, i had to go to pearlbank for a conprobe.. it was all a mess, actually i got what i wanted but was too unprepared becuase it was a short notice. we were talking in their reception with a lot of people going in and out. suddenly there was a commotion, they were asking me if i could pull the plug of the laptop, hide the recorder, close it.. hide everything.. all in a split second. it was such a rush that i lost my trail of thought. booh!

after that, i went straight to paseo bought some tokens, went to cristina condo, went to park square, went to greenbelt (bought items in the grocery, food, tokens.. ect)... went back to condo, fixed the living room, prepared for the evening conprobe. all of them were suppose to come by 6pm. only 2 did, and the other 2, went about 730pm. --- the only thing i liked about these was i went to sakura, the japanese grocery i wanted to go to in arnaiz ave/ pasay road. i got japanese chocolates for me! yumyum!

after that, all i could think of was "i want to go home now!" so i did and arrived 9 plus na. rested for a bit (watched desperate housewives and friends) then went to do my rituals before going to sleep.

oh, we also have a conprobe today, 8pm at UP.. i havent even finished transciribing my tapes, havent even read my research for vietnam, havent even done the powerpoint for vietnam... and there's tons of it here piled. also there is this jo for a new account... i need to submit topline of yesterdays probe... i wish this coming weekend will be for about 4 days. i need to do all this by monday! God help me! i really need this!

animo la salle

D -- L -- S -- U
animo la salle
score: 79-67

congratulations to the green arches for placing second in the UAAP final four. the game versus the red warriors was one of the best games i ever saw.

the patron was full of green, so was the lower box.. i say that 70% of upper a were DLSU supporters and only 30% were wearing red. most of UE supporters were in the general admission. --> i guess this situation had some effects to the players. most of their free throws failed, i think only 50 to 60% went in. while green archers' free throws went in 90% of the time.--- some rationale, eh?!

again to the team, thanks for winning, thanks for not wasting my 110-peso ticket. hahaha! it was all worth it, even i dont have my full voice right now... :)

cream puffs

when it comes to cream puff - beard papa gets my vote! it was bon who introduced me to this, this was way back when virramall was not yet being renovated yet, it was near the entrance and beside ice monster. now, it has a better location - the promenade at greenhills.

now, it has different flavors or toppings that one can chose from, i personally love chocolate and nuts combined.. so this was definitely heaven for me. my brother, also love their cream puffs. everytime we would go to catch a flick, my sister would buy figaro iced tea, and my brother would defintely get a piece or two of beard papa. my mom who is not a big fan of desserts, only love 2 types of dessert: this big papa (haha!) and san lorenzo's mango torte.

beard papa started in japan, with its famous custard cream, and now.. you can have it for P50-55.. medyo mahal siya some people would say. i do find it quite expensive too, but i try to "see" it as a treat.. a treat every weekend, cause ive been working hard all week, then its okay to treat yourself.... and its worth it naman. hahaha! always nice excuse to eat something.

showbiz AZAP!

went to ASAP taping last sunday, it was taped already cause they wont go live next sunday, the 18th i guess...
i saw everyone their whole cast and crew..

rehearsals:
juris with the champions...
i was planning to go to tavern to watch mymp perform, but since i got to watch them rehearse, it was like watching their show pero they have guess pa. i love juris' voice, it was soothing.

nina with gary, martin and piolo
i also like the peroformance of nina, she was there to promote her upcoming concert. she performed with gary, martin and piolo. gary was still amazing, but i think martin is the better singer, he is also funny, very interactive with the audience(kahit rehearsal pa lang ah). they seemed to be enjoying themselves on stage.

opening number
rihanna's pon de replay was the first song to be played.. ASAP girls are the one singning it. i realized ang liit ng stage at ang dami nila, how could they all fit in there. the next song were the guys with viva hot babes (maui, jennifer lee, myles, and the girl with super big boobs - whats her name? na kamukha ni ruffa mae?!) guys were singing and the girls were dancing the tune of don't cha by pussy cat dolls - nice choice of songs though..

funny incidents:
- ryan accidentally knocking over sarah geronimo's jug! - her jug's color combo was the best - pink and purple - ang "nene" pa niya.
- toni gonzaga was on her way out of the set, and there were a gtoup of boys following her around and were saying "ang ganduhh!!!" it was the best statement i've heard. they were mocking the commercial or ricky!!!
- kaye taking picture of geoff eigenmann for iya!
- discovering that julette has a crush.. si christian bautista and take note.. she voted for him sa competition before. hahaha!

halo-halo thoughts

i have said some stupid phrase sa office... yung wala naman sanang malisya pero pag pinakinggan mo parang ang pangit pakinggan!

sample:
"oh nag-lunch ka na?" - me to julette
"oo naman. may preprod kami sa boardroom eh" - julette
"ayy.. bakit di ka nilabasan?" - me (referring to the food, i mean sana nilabas mo yung food for us)
* i saw bede smiling sheepishly at the corner, and it did hit me that i said something. hahaha!

last wednesday(9/7) it was too traffic.. i got out at the office to meet up some friends in chilis in greenhills, mga 7:20pm yun. and 8:20 na guess where na ako? nasa rockwell pa lang. i wanted to shout and cry na talaga sa car, but i did not! i mean i have changed na nga cause before i would curse anyone that i see, and cars that surround me. buti na lang i have aggie's ipod with me. it kept me company. di ko na pinilit to go sa greenhills kasi di umaandar ang cars, i arrived home 9:20pm without dinner or anything. bwiset na mga rally yan!

yesterday (9/9) was cousins meeting. we ate at chili's pa din in greenhills, bumawi ako! haha! with lack of anything to watch, we decided to purseu brothers grimm kaysa not doing anything at all. it was okay, nahilo lang ako cause i have no idea who the hell are they. i didnt know that they are the one who wrote snow white, etc... malay ko ba?! and then after the film, pinag-usapan namin at ta-da!!! dun ko lang naintindihan yun buong movie.. kaya pala i was trying to figure out bakit may mga snippets mo gingerbread man, little red riding hood, snow white, sleeping beauty dun...

i did already finish the "22 immutable laws of branding" by the guru al ries! but i doubt him sometimes. he cant be that good?! contradicting ba?

haay. i finally was able to get the books that i wanted...
- "the curious incident of the dog in the night time by mark haddon"
- "tipping point by malcom gladwell"
- "veronika decides to die by paulo coelho"

i know next week will be busy busy busy, i see it na, sa white board pa lang nakikita ko na ang kakalabasan ko next week or namin. i'm just looking forward for friday's brazil brazil (i've waited for his for so long).. ang saturday's M deli!

cafe monaco

one would guess that when i/we would order longsilog, tosilog or tapsilog, it would be for breakfast, but no.. this was for dinner.

cafe monaco has always been my favorite hang out place, cause i feel comfy there, sometimes too comfy! i go there with my pair of slippers, shorts and my over-laking shirt. i can go there with anyone and anytime. they have these couches where i can put up my legs and sit comfortably. i discovered that place when i was still in college, about 5 years ago. M and I would always go there for kwentos, i would usually eat korean to pinoy foods while M would go there to smoke and drink iced tea!

i love their tapsilog and longsilog - defintely the best garlic rice i ever tested. i also like their bibimbop - this korean dish/rice just blends well. i love the spinach and togue mixed with all korean flavorings and seafood - only problem is carbo loading to, its good for 2! i share with my mom! i am not a big fan of mango, but their mango crepe was just surprisingly good! my brother ordered it and i was there for the "tikiman" part lang, pero to masarap pala siya. they also have sizzling bangus, na good for 4 people na ata yun. i better try that too... all their coffee and lattes are good, their ice cream desserts are lovely too.

well, here are some photos to share.. the ambiance is just what i need and what i always look for. hindi siya parang fast food na kailangan mo na kagad umalis, you can stay ang lounge there for as long as you want. they also play great music, jazz type para makapahinga at relax la talaga. the service is personal, and i know na the people there. the price naman is cheap na din.. their tapsilog and tosilog, would be mga P65-70. Their rice meals go up to P150. Their crepes about P90.

always the place i go to if i want to rest-cum-eat! haha!

loaded

i am loaded with work to do, my weekend was full of work, and the freaky part is - im starting to like this feeling, the feeling that i have so many things to accomplish, that i even need to sacrifce even my own time and space.. its just weird, i dont want to like this feeling cause it might backfire at me in the near future or in the future somehow....

yesterday(friday), our team went out to eat late lunch at vanilla bean. the food was okay, hindi nga lang ganun ha filling, which is okay lang, cause it leaves a space for DESSERT!!! hell yeah, my favorite part of every meal. i ordered this chicken garlic strips and applie pie for dessert. the apple pie was good, it was full of apples, hindi "hangin".
after, we went to kalentong part of the city to do field work. it was okay but it was too damn hot! we were walking the streets of kalentong, and the fear that i might get hit by a car anytime would be flashing in my mind. and sa lahat ng kamalasan, i encountered the biggest bitch of all!

"miss, pano ba ito ipa-appraise?" - me
"kailangan ko kilatisin yan (referring to ena's engangement ring)" - miss
"pano kilatisin?"- me
"may bato dito" - miss
"pupukpukin niyo?" - me
"sa iba ka na nga mag-appraise!!!" - miss

putang ina mo! appraise-in ko kaya yung walang kwenta mong mukha! ang pangit mo! wala kang halaga.. the impatient part of me wanted to say, but i kept quiet! buti na lang si ena tinarayan niya...
"kung ayaw niyo, eh di wag!!!" - ena (sabay walk out) nyahaha!
buti na lang nabawi ng DEC ang kabwisitan ko sa kanila. they still ahve the best fried siomai!

that night, i went to SM santa mesa to do rounds naman sa fast food chain, and i was there for almost an hour interviewing the manager (thanks po, ur so kind and entertaining, and thanks for the discount!). i also interviewed customers.. kinabahan ako kasi baka they would shut me out pero mabait pa din sila.. (thanks thanks!)

my saturday morning was spent in conprobing pawners na tlgang nasa d sec na. it was just a breeze but i worked pa din the whole morning, talking to 5 of them, and transcribing all the interviews. it was the first time na i talked to d people talaga. it was a reality check to me, i felt that i should not be complaining na.

*** talked to lester, and sana our new plan will turn out for the best. i just wish i could use my sp called expertise to what will happen. "fingers-crossed"***
