christmas day is over

24th of december
our christmas turned out to be realyl a different one this year. usually dec. 24's dinner is held at my uncle's house, with my ama-"lola".so we had our usual dinner composed of pancit malabon, christmas ham, roast chicken and soup - the one with fresh ingridients that you will put in and wait for it to boil. i forgot how we call it, but its good.
after dinner, together with my sibling, we went to hear mass at the village's church. the problem was the mass went on for about an hour and a half. i hated every minute of it. mass should stick the 40minute or 60minute rule. people has their own limits you know...

after hearing the mass, and saying goodbye to my mom's side of the family, we walked a few blocks and went to dad's side of the family.. in time for the noche buena. there we had lechon, steaks,penne carbonara (which i cooked) ehm!, relenong bangus, and many more. i didnt pay attention to itsince i was so damn full that i could hardly think of food. but when dessert came, i had to get my share of buko salad - it was a family tradition, and i had to do my part of eating it. haha!

after, together with 6 cousins of mine, we played poker.. i won. i think its the first time i wonin that game, although we seldom play na din.. last time i was 3rd place, and now i won a total of Php400. My aunts naman during that time was playing mah-jong, i think it was uncle chiok who won.



25th of december
usually, we would get up late na and tired from last night, but last 25th was different, since we had to wake up mga 10am, we went to tagaytay. by 1130 am we were leaving, and we arrived 230pm na in time for our lunch, we were super hungry na by thattime that we have to go get candies na.had lunch at max's tagaytay, we were suppose to be in josephine's but ang daming tao.

after our late lunch, we went to tagaytay highlands' at tumambay lang kami dun. we went to the highest peak, where there is a coffee shop, all of us ordered coffee or hot cocoa. believe me super lamig. i needed a jacket, buti na lang my uncle lent me one. after went to a resto that was similar to pop tate's if ever yuo are reading archie and the gang.. i think its name was geraldine's eh. it was cool, parang relieving the past that di ko na inabutan. wasting our time in tagaytay. we went back to manila and had dinner at century park hotel.

christmas day was exhausting, i wasnt the one who drove all the way there, but staying inside the car with the traffic in tagaytay and south super - ate up all my energy.

my last post before christmas day

this week is one crazy week, the past few days have been so much fun. from the accounts/strat dinner we had last monday at people's palace and inuman session in segafredo afterwards.everything was going light and fun. christmas definitely makes people happy.

our freakshow themed chrsitmas party was a blast, may i say.. everyone was dancing come the end of the night, objective achieved. hehe! its the time when people let loose of themselves, start to be tipsy and drunk! suddenly speaks straight english, partied like crazy... and that described us during that night.

imagine all of us partying with our president, coo, strat planning director,executive creative director, business manager and coo of media. and they were also dancing like there will be no tomorrow. i havent had that kind of fun for the longest time, last i remember was during our cebu trip with the college barkada. we danced in the bar like we owned it. so i thank people who did cooperate in shaking people out of their senses and transformed them into dancing kings and queens.. to juls,angel and kaye.. you guys are the best GRO in town.

this week also, i received tons of gifts.. and i love every single bit of them. so i am grateful to all those who have remembered me and put so much thought to those beautiful things. i wont write down all in here, but some na lang..

julette - ang ganda, promise. alam mo ang taste ko ah, and even my siblings liked it.

kaye - maraming salamat! cute red shirt.

joan - super salamat.. na-touch talaga ako, kasi with it maalala kita parati.

pau - your weird/crazy but cute taste reflected sa gift mo. salamat. kelangan ko nun.

ags and cho - thank you for the bastos-written text in my shirt. and sa cd shempre.

also, there is one thing that i am really grateful for. thank you to the GASSO and CLUBMEDIA mancom. for recognizing my contribution and acknowledging me as the "rookie of the year". i will treasure that feeling and appreciation. and million thanks to people GASSO and CLUBMEDIA officemates and friends who have taught me so much and made my past year in GASSO fun. to the officemates - becuase you guys are so kind, helpful, considerate and understanding. and my firends - for our field trip's, lunch outs, veranda talk, ym's. kwento, dinner out... thank you. :)

season's finest

this is the season to be jolly.. la la la la la, la la la la....
i love christmas -- especially this year, when everything is going right.

last friday, i had dinner with my high school classmates (jas,bon,bede&jc,jeff,les,tim) in redwood in morato... then we were looking for a place so we can transfer to a much quiet place. we were supposed have dessert at conti's in connecticut but its closed na, so we had it at chili's na lang. all time chili's.. hehehe. so everything was fine although i find it kinda bitin nga lang. sayang, we should have talked more, pero okay lang. we'll see each other pa naman, especially (les,jeff and bon) - we're having the massage!! haha.

that saturday, one thing that signals christmas is how traffic it can get. from my place in qc, we went to poduim, and it took us 1 hour and 30 mins.. so we just went around, and got to eat (again) floss from breadtalk.. thank god for breadtalk.. it saved my life from walking the whole strech of megamall, and with so many people window-shopping. both my siblings were trying to ask me what i like as my christmas present cause they were finding it very hard to look a gift for me. so we went to topman, and after a much debate, got a shirt. they also got me a christmas cd. i love christmas songs, and it sucks not to listen to one in the car when its that time of the year. - at least now i get to listen to it all the time. so i got my presents from my whole family. of course my parents gave the 3 of us money, in my case, out of awa cause they were saying that my christmas shopping left me broke daw. hehehe. - and take note these things are not for me. :)

sunday - had lunch at san bashi. this is a japanese resto beside pantalan ng maynila in roxas. i swear that i am not a big fan of japanese resto's with kimpura in mind, but they just have good food. i lovetheir mushrooms with garlic. i also love their kobe beef and this fish that i dont know the name cause it sounded weird that is available to few certain places lang is soo good.!!! so there. that lunch made my day. hopefully the rest of the week as well.

over the weekend, i finally finished my christmas shopping, my list seemed so long.. well, not really long but i had a hard time finding gifts for people.. whew.. that weekend was good/bad na din...

friday, 9th..
the five of us (kate,orange,obee,cheryl and i) had dinner at hyatt hotel and casino manila. we had buffet, priced at P1,093 per person. the food was great though, they have italian - pasta's, salami's, different kinds of cheese and bread, olives... japanese, chinese, ribs and steaks, salads, fresh seafood - oysters, calamari and of course dessert - fruits, pastries, etc... ah. i swear that i grew 5lbs after having dinner, by the way we had dinner at 8.45PM na. shucks, im mostly excited about the dessert though, may choco fountain, fudge brownies.. haay. the funny story here is that our table was overflowing with plates, that when waiters would come by, they have this smile- which annoys me but then again, i couldn't care about them. i was too busy finsihing my plates(ss) the only thing i did not like in that place is the parking - their valet parking is full, is that even possible?!

saturday, 10th.
went to angel's advance birthday party and got wet. (paulo kasi pinaghintay ako sa labas ng kotse niya, eh ang lakas-lakas ng ulan) hehehe. my jeans were soo wet, also my socks.. eck feeling but alangan naman magtanggal ako ng sapatos sa bagong bahay nina angel. hahaha. got to see vinsy... that cute poster boy. actually, pwede siya sa commercial ng bibbo hotdog o cdo ulamburger.. hahaha. i had a lot of fun. --> happy birthday angel!!!

sunday, 11th.
met cheryl @ her house, when i saw her she was crying and nanginginig. some mother fucker (mf) snatched her cellphone. she was riding a pedicab kasi, and this mf went inside with her, she was pushing her daw, and hinila din daw siya palabas ng pedicab, so nalaglag siya sa streets. puro scratches ang tuhod at kamay niya, the mf got her whole bag, pero hinabol daw niya, and sumisigaw daw siya, so the guy threw the bag and just got the cellphone. ibang klase to.. she cant let him get the whole bag daw, cause she has about 2,000 cash and 3,000 worth of receipts to be reimbursed, with her credit card, drivers license.. please next time if anything like this happens, just give everything at wag ka na makipaghabulan. please?!

after, few moments of drama and action inside house, we went to world trade center, nagpapasama kas siya to shop in tiangge and bazaars.. as if nothing happened, off we go to WTC. by the way, i recommend WTC, galing at madaming magandang stuff, there's food inside - dont buy outside na, lots of good eats inside the center. after, finishing the whole place, we went to robinsons ermita to shop pa din and go to the grocery. they have nice stores pala there - like may polo, diesel, topman, dkny.. i jsut never thought there were shops like this there. discriminating ba?! we also had an hearty dinner at chef d' angelo's - love their pasta paella. yum!

well, i will just post pictures of the buffet and angel's bday in my next post..

dead feet still hurting

watched maximo.. funny movie with social relevance. all pinoy movies are like that. sayang lang cause kaye had to leave early dahil nasusuka siya.

also, just this lunch i had this adventure with julette - kaya unti-unti ko ng nararamdaman ang pagkamatay ng paa ko. we were out by 12.30, and back at the office ng mga 3PM. just thinking about it, 130pm pa lang, we were trying to find a cab na to go back ot the office, but wala and ayaw nilang magsakay since dadaan sa ayala - eh may lintik na celebrations for sea games victory daw... ewan.
so from glorietta 2, naka-abot kami hanggang wendy's in greenbelt 1 (we stopped at each place to find a cab) - pero wala pa din. so as we were walking sa may rolex building, biglang swerte cause we found a cab, but as soon as we were in it, ayaw magstart.. the driver has to check his engine pa, ang init pa sa cab... sheettt... thank god, gumalaw naman kami, kaya lang pagdating namin sa shell maya - suddenly out of gas na yung cab, and kailangan pa niyang itulak yung cab. leche naman. kaya from there naglakad na lang kami to the office, ata kaya din unti-unting namamatay ang paa ko ngayon.

this day is unbelievable, and all i was able to buy was 1 item, not even for me. babawe ako sa saturday!

time to get flabby once more

christmas is the perfect excuse to eat all the food you want, to have desserts at the end of every meal. well, that is the case for me but my christmas starts october pa.. haha, so this idea of mine spans for 3 months now. haha!

as for this post, i share with you pictures with my college barkada or "12". we call ourselves that becuase that is how many we are in the group. the first plan was to actually have dinner at n(enye) restaurant in rockwell, i called in the morning and learned that they have a private function, so i moved our dinner at teak bar and bistro. i really wouldnt know if that is a good or bad idea, but i guess it was okay, the important part there was seeing them. its almost a year since i last saw some of them. anyways, after being with them, we had so many plans, on where to go, the next time we are gonna meet up..

- on the 9th, dinner @ hyatt hotel in pedro gil cor mabini (excited about this one, after we might go to music 21 or just go play in the casino - my first time ever.)
- on the 17th, the chocolate buffet @ manila pen or makati shang.. not decided where though..
- on the 2-5th feb @ bataan c/o louie - thank you louie!
- on the 13-16th of april - bacolod trip c/o obee

am i excited or what? che and i was just talking on the way home and said that she missed all of them, well its fun to be able to see them again. i hope we can regularly see each other naman, and this will turn things around. missed them all, and its nice to sit at starbucks with almost no one in sight and laught about our katangahan, kakengkoyan, and like how we owned la salle during our time. -> owned meaning wala kaming pakelam with other people.

i would love to show the food pix in here but maybe ill reserve it for another post na lang. just to share some pix..

good combo's for me

for the past few days that i have been around places, i tried to maximize and enjoy every single experience of it. and i celebrate them together with my teammates and the food i have experienced - good for my soul that is, it uplifts me in a way, and definitely made me enjoy every single moment of it.

my first stop - cafe milano in united nations avenue. beware though, it doesnt look so pricey but once you sit down and get the menu, prices ranges from 300-700. i remember a few post ago, i uploaded a picture of their gelato, and now the meals are here.. i recommend them because they serve good italian cooking, the price is all worth it, and their service is excellent, although malu and i are the only people having dinner there.

(clockwise: combo seafood - crabmeat pasta,vegtable in wine and fresh lapu lapu in white wine P340, bag of breads, combo chef - pork loin, grilled vegtables and penne with 4 cheese P260, and zora inglese cake P180)





i am not a big fan of cinnamon rolls, but this combo is good. the mocha drink si better than starbucks' pa. bu the pecanbon is just too sweet for me, i wish i did get plain.



when its christmas, starbucks is a good place to stay to.. they have this new creme brulee frap or toffenut frap, but i got the toffenut hot and chocolate cake... good combo may i say. never mind the flu and cough.. all worth it.
